Rodeo at the RacetrackHOUSTON · NOV 6–7 ↗︎In 2024, longtime rodeo producer Ted Slathar and racing executive Kip Rakos partnered to bring a PRCA rodeo to Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minnesota.
What began as an ambitious idea quickly became a proven success, introducing thousands of fans to a new way of experiencing rodeo within the unique setting of a premier horse racing venue.
In February 2026, that success became a national vision: bringing rodeo to some of the country’s most iconic racetracks.
The goal was to create a series that celebrates western heritage while delivering a modern, destination-level entertainment experience—combining elite PRCA competition, live entertainment, and elevated hospitality.
At its heart is a simple belief: two of America’s greatest traditions belong together.
